Anand Samaj Kalyan Samiti, headquartered in the Gadarwara–Narsinghpur region, is a grassroots voluntary organisation working tirelessly for:

As a Maharatna PSU, NTPC carries a strong mandate to uplift project-affected areas through long-term, sustainable CSR interventions. This cow rehabilitation project aligns naturally with several key CSR themes under Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013.

The central purpose of this project is to build a scientific, ethical, transparent, and sustainable rehabilitation centre for 500 homeless, abandoned, injured, and unproductive cows across the Gadarwara–Narsinghpur region.

Why NTPC’s Support is Critical

The NTPC Gadarwara plant is located within an area heavily affected by stray cattle. Unmanaged cattle:

Cause nighttime road accidents
Obstruct transport and logistics
Affect the safety of employees and nearby villages
Disrupt agricultural supply chains
Livelihood Enhancement(– Jobs for local youth in fodder, manure, paint production, logistics.)
Supporting this project directly enhances safety and welfare in NTPC’s operational ecosystem.
